McWain Pond Association

The McWain Pond Association is a community of homeowners who live on or near the shores of McWain Pond in Waterford, Maine. Our mission is to preserve the water quality of the pond and protect the natural environment for future generations.

We are proud to work closely with the Lakes Environmental Association (LEA). Our most significant initiative is the Watershed Survey, developed and implemented with support from local and state agencies.

Before You Begin Shoreline Work…

Before undertaking any changes or land use within 100 feet of the shoreline, please review the 📄 Shoreland Zoning Code and contact Colin Holme at LEA for guidance. He can help interpret tricky rules (like “limbing trees”) and ensure projects are compliant and environmentally safe.
